You can change sphere diameters without removing the base. In general, large spheres are useful for large diameter probes, and small spheres for samll diameter probes. You save money by buying spheres as needed, without buying additional bases. The base is magnetic and designed to fit Zeiss calibration sphere mounting plates. The distance from the table surface to te ball center is constant, regardless of the ball diameter you are using.
All Q-Mark Manufacturing, Inc. calibration spheres are Grade 5 ceramic or ruby. Certifications are available. |
