The Internal Dial Caliper Gages are highly recommended for quick ID comparison, and are the
only handy gage to reach 3.25" and still measure recesses for "O" ring etc.
The caliper is spring loaded and makes point contact at constant measuring pressure.
The Dial Caliper Gage is used only as a comparison gage, and should be used along with a master ring or a micrometer.
The moveable bezel/graduation plate must be adjusted before gaging by bringing the zero point to a known size.
