Diamond CMM Probes

 

The quality of the Dutch Diamond Technologies diamond sphere is unprecedented. So far the standards for styli were ruby and silicon nitride balls. Diamond outperforms these materials on all aspects that matter for CMM and offers the most accurate and economic measurement. The extreme hardness and smooth surface of diamond keeps wear and friction at an absolute minimum, and results in low fouling behaviour. As a result, the accuracy of your measurement is significantly improved, the number of replacements is reduced and the scanning speed can be increased.
Diamond spheres are suitable for almost all probing applications, including heavy duty scanning applications on aluminium. The diamond spheres are highly spherical and can be mounted on a variety of materials (e.g. tungsten carbide).
