These micrometers have conventional analog reading with full and half gradua­tion lines on the barrel. The friction drive is built into the thimble and has been brought forward to facilitate single-handed measurement. If measurements with­out the friction drive are preferred, the knurled sleeve need only be reversed to render it inactive.
